I’m not an avid viewer of Fear Factor but If there is something that is distinct with FF, is that in every episode, there are different teams facing different challenges, and the show is practically over after eliminations and the major challenge. They would just have an option to call back those challengers who won if they want to. The format gives more opportunities for more people to join, just like a regular game show.
And you don’t have to follow the daily lives of the challengers unlike Big Brother or Survivor, you don’t have to get attached with the challengers and you can miss an episode without being left out or spending too much TV or online time.
Maybe ABS-CBN wanted to rev up the show by going out of the country and maybe finding different challenges not available locally rather than end up just being the same as the once primetime king Extra-Challenge.

i think ang last reformat ng Extra Challenge is same as Survivor. so what’s new with the show? i guess contestants and bigger prize
goodluck to ABS coz im sure maraming detractors at mga bayarang sulsol para gamitin ang govt sa issue ng decency on TV. pero pag eat bulaga or english yung show, pwede ipalabas
I think GMA is trying their best to make this show one of the best so that they can earn a lot but this is their first try so give them a chance.. who knows people will love it or hate it afterwards.

i am so excited to watch fear factor kasi boring ng survivor philippines. next pa audition kayo ng teacher na hunk tulad ko.
Survivor Philippines was initially quite boring; but there were definitely some episodes that were well worth the politicking and competition. Good thing JC really ended up the winner as he competed and ran with the flow very well.
Sayang, I can’t say the same for Fear Factor Philippines. It’s bad enough that they had to “uber-extend” a supposedly very short reality show that would’ve needed only a few challenges to end. But the host was always struggling with his “literally-translated” pseudo-spanish phrases that were either totally OUT OF PLACE, or outright SOUNDED SO LAME (I’m wording this very objectively na nga! hehe).
Could the Fear Factor host just have spoken either straight Tagalog, or Taglish, or if he really needed to insert a few spanish words, it would’ve been great it someone in the production crew proofed it first.
“…di’ba — mga partisipantes — ang bungee jumping ay… blah blah blah…” Whoa! Sounds so wicked! Haha… well, Tres, Dos, Uno… I’m out!
